Whether you are embarking on a new build or a major renovation, we know the process can feel overwhelming. We’ve collected some of the questions we hear most often to help you understand our Design-Build model and how we specialize in the technical side of interior design.

FAQs

Q: What is the "Element" approach to Interior Design?

A: We know that "Interior Design" can mean many things. At Element, we handle the technical side of the transformation—reconfiguring floor plans, designing custom cabinetry, and managing the construction process from blueprints to the final walkthrough. We specialize in Design-Build, Remodels, and New Construction.

Q: How do I get started with a project?

A: Every journey starts with a Project Discovery consultation. You can fill out the inquiry form on our website or call us to discuss your vision, budget, and timeline.

Q: Do you handle the actual construction too?

A: We offer a "concept-to-completion" model, coordinating with our network of trusted contractors and installers to ensure the execution matches the design vision perfectly.

Q: What makes Element different?

A: The difference is in the oversight and education.

We provide a streamlined, professional experience, educating you on why certain materials are better for your space and stay on the project until the final walkthrough to ensure every detail is right.

Q: I already have my products, can I hire Element for the Install?

A: We’re a small crew here at Element. Unfortunately, at this time we are not able to provide project management services independently.

Q: Do you offer standalone decorating or furniture consulting?

A: Because we operate on a Design-Build model, our services are integrated into the the construction process. We generally do not offer hourly decorating, furniture-only styling, or one-off consultations. While we provide finishes and materials that make a space beautiful, we are structural designers and project managers rather than an hourly consulting firm.

Q: Is there a Consultation fee?

A: No, we are happy to offer a free first consultation! We believe you deserve an opportunity to meet with us first before making a financial commitment.

Q: I have a contractor; can I still work with Element?

A: Absolutely! We are happy to collaborate with your preferred contractor. We provide the specialized cabinetry design, material sourcing, and detailed floor plans they need to execute the project.

Q: What kind of products do you offer?

A: We provide a curated selection of cabinetry, flooring, countertops, and decorative tile. We focus on Quality—we look for durable materials and products that we feel confident putting in your home.

Q: Do you sell furniture and accessories?

A: We do not feature furniture or accessories in our showroom; however, if you’re looking for something custom, we have a network of craftsmen that we can partner with to create one of a kind pieces.

Being way out of my depth with design, but under deadlines and wanting to make some choices for my house that felt bold, special, and "me," working with Jenn was an absolute God-send. I was worried I wouldn't be able to articulate what I was after, but Jenn read between the lines and helped me create spaces in my home that are bringing me so much joy now that I am on the other side of the process! There was no pressure - just artful understanding, support, and guidance.
